Cyclist: former racer, mountain and road; organized century rider on occasion; commuter, most of the time; Sunday endurance rider and Sunday beer rider: hopping from convenience store to store and drinking a quart at each stop.
New to blogging, forums and public postings of any kind. I have a very arcane, jejune and amazingly wordless blogspot. By definition, it may not really qualify as a blog. I have spent too much time with photoshop and the proof is on my blog.
I have done the university thing - English major. I have been through the illustrious Department of Defense Information School for print journalism and photojournalism. I am an Army journalist: HEARTS AND MINDS.
Anyway, looking to free up some time and pursue some print and photo stuff. Open to just about anything, just sort of see what happens.
I have been aware of the SLC Critical Mass for a couple of years, but have never been to one. I never really liked the idea of driving a car to a Mass ride. With FrontRunner up, I suppose that excuse is no longer worhy of use.
Davis County is the most dangerous county in the state to navigate on two wheels. I have thought about getting a Mass going here, but I think at least for now it would be cool to try and bump the numbers at the SLC Mass with cyclists living outside of mecca. Utah is Salt Lake centric, anything that happens, happens in the city. Awareness is going to start and emanate from there.
Massers, let me know what you think. Throw anything at me. Be the zoo monkey, with a good aim and a good arm.
