Pronation? How do I correct it? 1 Year ago Karma: 4
So I think I've discovered why my knees sometimes hurt when I ride and why it's been getting worse. It's also been affecting my running. PRONATION!!!

Help?

Below is more about what I'm talking about:

I over pronate as well. You need special shoes designed for your type of pronation (under or over). The aren't all that expensive as far as good running shoes are concerned, but expect to pay $60 to $100. It's money well spent, running with shoes that don't work for you can lead to all kinds of hurt. (ever had shin splints?)

Cycling has never been a problem for me as long as I keep a little extra float in my pedals (when using clipless) and have my saddle height adjusted properly.

I don\'t believe in Karma. Karma is justice without the satisfaction and I don\'t believe in justice.

Ok yes I learned about that going to Salt Lake Running Co. When you are there they film you running and show you how bad you pronate (i over pronate pretty bad) and then they test all these shoes and inserts on you to get the correct shoe to help allgin your feet correctly. The thing is, though, that I had her test me with all the different "extra strength" over-pronate-fixing shoes and re-film my feet and it didn't seem like any of them helped at all. Now what? Any suggestions? I wonder if it takes time to correct it but I'd think I could at least see a little difference when wearing the other shoes....

I suspect this is why one of my knees hurts SOOOOOOOOOOO terribly bad when I ride a higher gear on my bike. Like bad like I almost fall over splitting terrible pain ow!

Kemmer help!
