Hi guys! We're bringing news of a great event in Reno! I know, I know, Reno is 525 miles away....but I've done the drive probably near 100 times. Yeah, I lived in SLC/PC during the 90's baby! UofU grad. Skipped graduation ceremonies for a trip to So. Colorado/Moab to mtn. bike though...anyway, I love your city and still come out there 2 or 3 times a year. Great place. Hell, it's f*'n ZION!

What Is Scalleycat?

Scalleycat is a mix between a scavenger hunt and an alleycat race that started in Reno in 2007. Basically described, it is a 24 hour long blasphemous romp involving all sorts of subversive and albeit dangerous tasks. Each year draws people from different parts of the nation with 2008 promising contestants from California, Colorado, New York, Oregon, Utah, and Washington. Another 12 hour event is happening in San Francisco in 2008 with the points from both the San Francisco and Reno event being combined for a crowned dual city Scalleycat Champion!

Scalleycat is a team event with teams of two and one digital camera. You receive a race Bible with more objectives than you could ever complete in the allotted time period, each with a specific point value. Your goal is to build a strategy that brings you out on top with the most points!

This years cash purse in each city: $250

Combined points from both cities cash purse: $1000

Scalleycat Reno - 24 Hour Event - March 28-30th

The Reno race starts March 29th at 12pm at The
Fort on 2375 Dickerson Road, Reno, NV with pre-registration and
required racer check-in starting at 9am, with pre-race REQUIRED
meeting starting at 11am. *Pre-race party and pre-registration, with
drink specials sponsored by New Belgium, is at The
Satellite Bar and Lounge, 188 California Avenue, Reno, NV on March
28th, starting at 6pm.
