I am planning an event called the Bike Gallery Stroll & Roll Art Show for May 16th in honor of National Bicycle Month.

The idea is simple. Bring bike art (bikes, gear, etc.) and esp. freak bikes to the Broadway street sidewalk and show them off to the Gallery Stroll goers.

I intend on bringing a bicycle cart, and displaying works of art in the back of it. So basically we will be rolling around between No Brow Coffee over to the Frosty Darling area, sharing the art of bicycles.

What if we don't have a sweet looking bicycle of any kind...or any art, but would still like to participate? Should I decorate my bike with streamers like in a parade?

actually, gallery roll will have non-bicycle related artwork & bicycle related artwork on display... right now i working on making bike trailer to display these works. so even if you don't have an "artbike" if you have any pieces you want to share, drop a line, and we can work something out. true, i plan on having a tall bike and a swing bike around, but it will also have regular art. if you want, you can find a way to display artwork on your bike, more as an art holder, and that would be a cool idea.

I'm not really a visual artist, just a poet extraordinaire. I'll come and help out though if you need it.
