I am building a tall bike. I have a huffy exercise bike frame set up for the top, (http://www.saltcycle.com/2008/05/converting-exercising-machine-into-tall.html )and a Peugeot (unknown model) for the bottom. Here are the associated mock up images:

The only big problem is it might be gravity-oriented to the back, so it would wheelie easily..

I am new to this, so if you have suggestions, please suggest.

SWEET find!

It'll be so cool, can't believe you found a poog in the dumpster...

I say shorten the stationary forks and use the natural strenght of those long rear seatstay-ish things of the stationary bike. Weld them to the top of the seatstays of your bottom bike. might take some doing to get the angle right, but it'd be STRONG!

the mock up looks good. You've got the right drop outs on the poog. you'll want to make up a custom head tube for the top and make sure you line it up right with the bottom headset. Then youre ready to ride. I would probably take some of that excess metal and use it for support like 'Der Blaue' said.
I'll see what it takes to get some shop time.

On the head tube, does it need to be steel also? I got an aluminum one from the piranha ... I hope that will suffice cause I kicked my own ass getting it off the frame with a hacksaw.

WAIT! Don't kill the Peugeot! Canti brakes + horizontal dropouts + cool french bike = me want! I think there's a bike or two in my back yard you can have, I just have to let my renters know.

As for the tendency to wheelie, you either have to get used to it, use a small wheel in the front or go with a design that lengthens the wheel base somehow.
